Canopy

Canopy was inspired by a walk through the woods in spring when the  glut of cherry blossom was falling over the  swathes of stinging nettles and brambles, the contrast of the beautiful and the threatening parts of nature being so close and so intertwined was intriguing. I used acrylic to build up the mottled green and jagged shapes then overlay that with the transparent white and pink oil glaze to capture the delicate blossom.
