I created this work after visiting Rome. The city was truly grand and I wanted to convey the imposing architecture and the sense of tranquillity meeting the hustle and bustle of a modern capital city. The domes and arches are referenced in this piece as well as the sun drenched walls of flats alongside the lazy Tiber river and cool cobblestoned alleyways.
