This was inspired by the beautiful tones and contrasts of tulips in May, it is a painting that shows the awe inspiring shades that nature can create. I wanted the Tulips to flood the viewer's vision and return them to a memory of being as tall as the flowers. I used metallic shades to evoke the shifting bright light of spring.
